Depressive Illness

Depressive Illness is the most common psychological disorder. It is a mental disorder characterized by sustained depression of mood, sleep and appetite disturbances, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, and hopelessness. Some characteristics include depressed mood, a marked reduction of interest or pleasure in virtually all activities, gain or loss of weight, increased or decreased need for sleep, increased or decreased psychomotor activity, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness, diminished ability to concentrate, and recurring thoughts of death.
