Meet Dr. Megan

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Counselor (BC-TMH), certified school counselor, and certified English teacher. For more than a decade, I’ve worked together with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to help people struggling with a range of issues overcome life obstacles and create meaningful and lasting change.

From first serving children and families in 2000 through earning my doctorate in 2010 and practicing counseling to this day, my life’s work is to help people improve their physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual lives. Trained in multiple practices ranging from telehealth counseling to the Gottman method and family systems approach to cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused strategies for individuals, I embrace a breadth of modalities to help patients from all walks of life journey towards a better tomorrow.

I believe in the power of brevity in therapy and push my clients towards swift resolution. My practice is a place where no problem is too tough to tackle and where change happens together. My calm and warm demeanor, coupled with my collaborative and cognitive behavioral experience and expertise, together help people struggling with issues ranging from marital and relationship concerns to anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, and more.

How counseling can help you.

Counseling can free you from past or present issues holding you back and move you toward a better future. Many people who engage in counseling uncover a lifetime of problematic habits, thoughts, and ideas. The journey towards health and happiness begins by embracing counseling not as a quick fix but instead a permanent solution founded upon taking steps towards making healthy changes.

Counseling is a place where encouragement, motivation, and desire to create meaningful and lasting change improves the lives of countless people dealing with troubled relationships, depression, compulsions, anxiety, trauma, grief, and more. Counseling is a process where open, transparent exchange empowers you to repair concerns hidden deep below the surface.

Making positive changes in your life is hard. Counseling connects you with a neutral professional with no agenda to help you move forward with effective tools tailored to your biographical background, personality, and goals.

With trust and understanding developed in a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment, the counselor works to uncover and expose the traits standing in the way of meaningful and lasting change. Therapeutic goals we set and reach together each session break down the barriers standing in your way.
