Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety Disorder is a treatable mental health condition in which there is excessive anxiety and worry that is not easily controlled, occurring more days than not for at least 6 months, about a number of events or activities. To be diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder one must have 3 of the following more days than not for 6 months: restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, or sleep disturbance. The anxiety, worry, or physical symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning. The disturbance is not attributable to the physiological effects of a substance or another medical condition or disorder.
